6-month research internship opportunity

We are pleased to invite applications for a 6-month research internship opportunity for enthusiastic UG/PG students (B.Sc., M.Sc., B.Tech., M.Tech) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or Medical Research to participate in a translational project at the forefront of metabolic disease modeling.
🧪 Project Title:
Establishment of a Diet-Induced Obesity Zebrafish Model of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Evaluation of Postbiotic Intervention from Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG and Bifidobacterium longum
🏢 Location:
Mahatma Gandhi Medical Advanced Research Institute (MGMARI), Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (SBV), Puducherry
🔍 Key Highlights:
Hands-on training in zebrafish handling and husbandry
Induction and analysis of diet-induced obesity and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in zebrafish
Postbiotic intervention trials and biological assessments
Exposure to biochemical, histological, and molecular techniques
Opportunity to contribute to high-impact translational research
📌 Eligibility:
Students currently pursuing B.Sc., M.Sc., B.Tech., or M.Tech in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or Medical/Allied Health disciplines
Highly motivated individuals with a keen interest in metabolic disease and microbiome research
📅 Internship Duration:
6 months (Starting June 2025)

💰 Fees:
Internship fees to be borne by the students based on their university policies
🏡 Accommodation:
Students must arrange accommodation independently
