Strong candidates will be highly collaborative, strategically organized, and passionate about drug discovery and precision medicine. Expertise in immunology, tumor biology, and biomarker assays are highly desirable, and candidates should have experience working with human clinical samples.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement innovative in vivo and ex vivo studies to identify novel biomarkers and investigate the mechanisms of action of ImmuneEdge’s therapeutic candidates
  • Conduct a range of assays – including biochemical, molecular, cellular, immunological, in vivo and ex vivo – using mouse and human-derived samples to support preclinical and clinical research
  • Support the identification and assessment of emerging biomarker technologies to determine their clinical/scientific relevance and technical performance
  • Analyze biomarker data from preclinical experiments and present the data clearly and effectively
  • Contribute to scientific strategy by proposing new hypotheses and supporting the advancement of ImmunEdge’s research and development pipeline
  • Maintain accurate, well-organized records while supporting a safe and compliant lab environment

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, or a related field
  • 2+ years of industry experience in oncology or immunology drug development is preferred, with a track record of hands-on experimental success
  • Strong technical expertise in immunology-relevant lab techniques, including flow cytometry, ELISA, primary cell culture, in vitro functional assays, immunohistochemistry (IHC), RNA isolation/sequencing, ddPCR / qPCR
  • Ability to independently oversee scientific activities and rigorously analyze and interpret scientific data
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a supportive, but dynamic, start-up environment
  • Excellent communication, technical writing, and organizational skills
  • Experience with PEAs (e.g. Olink), MSD, bead-based cytokine arrays, WGS, cfDNA analysis, Incucyte, MIBI, ISH, automated IHC instruments (e.g. Leica Bond), spatial genomics, and/or PK assay development would be a plus
  • Ability to perform bioinformatic analysis of gene expression and other high-dimensional datasets (R, Python, etc.) would be a plus

This is a position that requires working in a laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards. Protective clothing, gloves and safety glasses are required while working in the laboratory. This position requires the ability to lift containers or instruments up to 25 pounds and working standing at a fume hood or lab bench for extended periods.

Expected Salary Range: $127,000 – $142,000
