Senior Scientist – Analytical Development – Vaccines and Biotherapeutics

Job Description:

The senior scientist will be responsible for developing and validating new analytical methods for the testing of vaccines and biotherapeutics. Tasks will include:

• Developing analytical methods for vaccines and biotherapeutics.
• Performing assay validation as per ICH/VICH guidelines
• Maintaining accurate records of experiments
• Interpreting assay data to troubleshoot or improve assay performance
• Operating in a GLP facility following GxP regulations
• Preparing SOP’s, validation protocols and reports
• Preparing/presenting project updates to clients
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• M.Sc./Ph.D. in a related area or B.Sc. with 5+ years experience.
• Experience developing ELISA’s, QPCR, and HPLC methods for biomolecules.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for vaccine/biotherapeutic analytical methods.
• Experience with cell culture/bioassays.
• Experience working with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented and good organizational skills.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Experience working in vaccine development would be considered an asset.
• Experience interacting with customers would be preferred.

Associate Scientist – Analytical Development

Job Description:

The associate scientist will be responsible for the supporting the development of new vaccines and biotherapeutics. Tasks will include:

• Supporting the development of new analytical methods, specifically ELISA, QPCR and HPLC methods
• Maintaining accurate records of experiments
• Analyzing data.
• Preparing SOP’s, validation protocols and reports
• Preparing/presenting project updates as required.
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Relevant college diploma, B. Sc and/or M.Sc. with 0-5 years experience.
• Experience with ELISA would be considered an asset
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for vaccine/biotherapeutic development would be considered an asset
• Experience working with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented and good organizational skills.
• Experience working in vaccine development would be considered an asset.
