I’m hiring for a (Senior) Research Associate to join our In Vivo Biology team at Moonwalk! Moonwalk Biosciences is ready to tackle some interesting challenges and our small team is hungry to produce results.

This time looking more for an enthusiastic and team-oriented junior scientist to join at the Research Associate level. I would love for this person to have handled mice in a previous context and be comfortable with basic bench skills. And while technical skills are important, someone that has a strong sense of accountability and ownership of their work is equally critical for the role. One’s ability to actually do the moonwalk is optional, but a plus.

The In Vivo Pharmacology Senior Research Associate is a key member of the Moonwalk R&D team, helping to drive the company’s early target validation and translational science in metabolic conditions. In this role, you will help design and execute Moonwalk’s In Vivo pharmacology studies and contribute to animal model development, working closely with the platform technology and biology teams. You will also work closely with the leadership team to align research programs with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute and coordinate in vivo PK/PD, proof-of-concept, and target validation studies
• Design and implement experiments, troubleshoot technical issues, and conduct scientific research to identify and validate targets and determine their mechanism of action
• Maintain critical laboratory capabilities for design and implementation of studies 
• Collaboration within the R&D and vivarium teams to achieve project objectives
• Contribute to the documentation and presentation of protocols and data 

Required Qualifications:

BS or MS  in cell biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, bioengineering or related area with 3+ years of relevant experience
