  • Drive internal in vivo electrophysiology efforts by developing and optimizing recording strategies from disease-relevant circuits
  • Develop and maintain in vivo electrophysiology technology, methodology, and utility in psychiatric drug discovery
  • Generate, through lab-based activities, multi-unit electrophysiology, local field potential and/or EEG data to support projects
  • Ensure alignment of electrophysiology efforts with the broader goals of cross-functional teams
  • Present findings to internal teams and external collaborators or conferences
  • Contribute to strategic decision-making in psychiatry drug discovery
  • Provide scientific guidance and training to junior scientists and research associates
  • Serve as a lead scientist on projects and contribute scientific insights across multiple other project teams

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in unanesthetized, in vivo multi-unit electrophysiology
  • Extensive experience using large-scale neural recording with single cell resolution with strong analytical skills
  • Experience with local field potentials and EEG recordings and analyses
  • Demonstrated expertise in the design and execution of hypothesis-driven studies related to synaptic and circuit function
  • Ability to process and interpret large datasets using appropriate software tools
  • Strong ability to work in cross-functional teams and effectively communicate scientific findings

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous industry experience within early discovery, preferably within psychiatry research
  • Expertise in AI/ML methodology for signal analysis
  • Recognized and sought out as an expert in field or discipline
