We are Hiring: Lead Bioinformatician, Pune
Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Lead Bioinformatician to drive genomic data analysis projects focused on pharmacogenomics, health risk screening, and WGS/WES interpretation.
Location: Pune
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage and optimize pipelines for genotyping and sequencing data.
– Lead WGS/WES data analysis and reporting.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate genomic reports.
– Mentor junior bioinformatics team members and engage with clients.
– Ensure data security, compliance, and documentation.
Requirements:
– PhD in Bioinformatics, Genomics, or related fields.
– 5–8 years’ experience in human genomics/bioinformatics.
– Strong skills in VCF/BAM/FASTQ analysis, variant annotation.
– Proficient in Python, R, Shell scripting; tools like GATK, PLINK, Annovar.
– Cloud environment experience (AWS/GCP) is a plus.
– Strong project management and communication skills.
Bonus Points:
– Experience in pharmacogenomics and clinical reporting (ACMG guidelines).
